One of the boldest figures in cinema history, Austrian director Fritz Lang 1929 silent film Woman in the Moon is considered one of the first examples of sci-fi genre. Based on the director’s wife Thea von Harbou’s book The Rocket to the Moon, the film follows a group people searching gold in space.
