This classic film is the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ 1843 story “A Christmas Carol” and takes place in the 19th-century London on a Christmas Eve. The greedy, grumpy and stingy pawnbroker Ebenezer Scrooge is an old man who refuses happiness and joy. Renowned for his inclination to make others around him miserable, he crosses paths with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come and embarks on a magical journey with them.
The film offers sheer merriment to audience of all ages, Michael Caine’s splendid portrayal of Scrooge is memorable while over 1000 Muppets including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and Fozzie Bear enjoy yet another big screen outing. We should also remind Muppet fans that the legendary ballad “When Love Is Gone” which was taken out of the theatrical version at the last minute for being ‘too dramatic’ for children and has since thought to be lost, has been added to this special copy.
